Three minute musical documentary following Zion I’s Baba Zumbi and his family on the day they move out of Oakland, their longtime hometown but a place that’s gentrified beyond the scope of their modest finances. Powerful in its own right but also topical in the week San Fransisco politicians have proposed a 1.5% “tech tax” on tech company profits to help house the growing number of Bay Area homeless. He elaborates some in an interesting interview with Market Watch, “I’m not a rich man by any stretch, but I’m also not poor … I can only imagine people that are actually struggling economically dealing with this situation.”
