So I saw seventeen year-old Brighton prodigy Phonetic rap live for the first time last night at Baked Beats, captivating the kind of diverse audience of rap fans and random chancers you’re going to get at an open air seafront venue like The Fortune Of War. She did her thing and I was sitting there slack jawed clapping and someone who knows a bit more about her than me turned round and said what most everyone in the audience must have been thinking, “incredible, isn’t she?” Yeah. She is. Fierce. Here’s the evidence.
