Think it was a tweet from Pete Rock that tipped me off about the new Camp Lo album Ragtime Hightimes this morning, so I threw a couple of quids in the iTunes slot and dragged a copy into my earphones for this mornings run along the seafront. Damn. Its good. Full of that trademark Lo swagger, and slang that Alan Turing would have trouble cracking, this was exactly what I needed to put me in a good mood this AM.
Soon as opening track Black Jesus kicks in, its apparent that this isn’t going to be a let down. Ski Beats has produced every joint on this project, and he’s worked with Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede enough to know exactly what’s going to work. Peep the video for You below.
