Morris x Merlan | October Raze
Synths. Lots of lovely synths. Thats what you can expect from the new project from Morris & Merlan‘s October Raze the brainchild from ex Brighton based emcee/producer Joe Morris aka Witchdoctor Wise who’s last release was 2007’s Trapped in the Asylum. This release sees a slight sideways shuffle in terms of style, with the production straddling a glitch in the time space continuum and feeling retro and futuristic at the same time. Morris dusts off his often underused vocal skills as well as enlisting the help of fellow rhymers Rupert and Reps the Cat. Holiday Pictures also sees poignant and unreleased vocals from Morris’ cousin and Brighton Hip Hop legend Iris who tragically passed away in a car crash in 2011. October Raze is well worth spending a few quid on.
