Welcome to the South Easy
My favourite part of this is the contrast between the two parts of the hook. The first guy (Scrufizzer?) does the ‘stop, wait, think…’ lines sounding somewhere between Dizzee (obviously) and Wiley on ‘Pick Ur Self Up’ then the second guy (Maxsta?) does the ‘get up, get out and get by…‘ echoing Cee-Lo‘s hook on Outkast‘s ‘Git Up, Git Out’ and it’s such a beautiful collision. Not that grime and dirty south rap are that far apart or haven’t collided many times before but the sparks here are so fine that demanding novelty would seem downright ungrateful. Some good advice in the verses, too. No-one’s perfect, hate is a strong word, everyone has problems, don’t let the haters get you down.
