Vic Spencer ft/ Brian Fresco & D.Brash – Infectious (Telling Folk)

Vic Spencer? Never even heard of him. Found this on Fake Shore Drive, so it should go without saying he’s from Chicago, and a quick search turned up his debut album ‘The Rapping Bastard‘ which includes a feature from Tree, so that should give you a fair idea what kind of area we’re in here. Most puzzling line: ‘rolling spinach until I feel like a pigeon‘. A pigeon? Okay, I get it now. He’s high. I like that image. The rest of his verse isn’t too shabby either, ‘obnoxious and loud‘ yet almost casual in his arrogance, ‘so defiant I smoke by the police station in Zion‘. I like that too.
