Redman – Dunfiato
Reggie Noble aka Redman just never seems to age, does he? Since Whut? Thee Album dropped way back in ’92, he’s kept that trademark vocal style, one which leads you to think that he’s just having too much damn fun with it to change it too much, and yet somehow doesn’t become stale. A case in point is his new video for Dunfiato, where he dispenses with any ideas for a hook, and slaps a good couple of minutes of solid rhyming over the top of a boom bap beat that would get most of the new age trap-schtick producers muttering something under their breath about it being passé – and yet even they wouldn’t be able to disagree with the fact that with a bit of Redman over the top of it, it becomes a whole different matter.
