Unknown Element #13: Genra – Golden State

Only a couple of minutes into digging through this backlog of promo emails which pile up in my inbox every time I go a few days without checking, and I’m already stumbling on a couple of decent tracks from artists I’m not familiar with. Next up is Genra, an emcee from Oakland USA whose video seems entirely filmed through one of those HDR filters that come with various iPhone photography apps. Not that this takes away from what I think is a solid jam. Whether its got enough to stick around after a few plays, I’m not sure just yet, but its definitely not a track I’d skip if it came through on shuffle.
