Welcome to the South Easy
Ringo drew my attention to a little bit of rap beef brewing between Freddie Gibbs and Young Jeezy a few days ago in his column, but today its time to get a little bit more nineteen-nineties with our name calling. I’m not entirely sure whats prompted this one to break cover at this time, but Nine, the man responsible for one of my favourite albums of all time, Nine Livez back in 1995 has just called out Dark Man X for biting his whole shebang. I’m nonchalantly presuming that Nine has some new material out soon, as I can’t remember anything new from Earl Simmons aside from his beautiful rendition of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer which dropped, er… around Xmas time (and wasn’t a real release either, but thats beside the point). If he’s not too busy getting emotional and making straight to DVD films with Steven Seagal, who knows, maybe DMX will respond. Redrum.

Whoah! Never even heard this guy before, but if he was rapping like this in 1995 then he’s got a right to be going at DMX. Little bit late though, and I’m not convinced by his excuses on that score. Eighteen years!
Ringo, you’ve never heard of Nine? I don’t think I could ever write a top ten Hip Hop albums of all time without including Nine Livez. You should school yourself. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5Eh1x7nn5Q). Eighteen years is a long time to let stuff fester though, you’re right.
