My homie Simple X – one half of transatlantic production duo Herma Puma just hit me up with this new track he’s helped produce for Chicago Hip Hop crew The Primeridian, featuring Mike Flo, who as well as being nice with mic, is also Dead Prez’ DJ. Some spaced out shish for your eardrums.

Transatlantic Hip Hop duo Herma Puma drop their Synchromystic LP next month, and having had a sneak preview, I can definitely say that its gonna be worth picking up. Pimpernel Jones (UK) and Simple X (US) have had an interesting back story including a time where they were almost signed to Def Jam, but one thing is for certain, that producing hot beats together despite being separated by the Atlantic Ocean is not an impossible task. There are some definite head nodders on the LP, including surefire B-Boy anthem Psycke Out, and guest spots from Rider Shafique (who also appeared on Black Grass’ LP Three) and Brighton’s Professor Elemental amongst others.
Its gonna be dropping on First Word Records on July 12th. Its gonna be a digital album, but if you cop the 7″ single Disposable Rappers b/w Psycke Out, you get a download of the album for FREE. And you can’t say fairer than that.
