After the unbridled success of the last rammed out free entry jam at the Concorde 2 a few months ago, the homie HP from Rarekind Records (Trafalgar St, Brighton – if you don’t know, get to know) has organised another one for Friday 6th May, and the line up once again is seriously heavy. I recommend getting there mad early as I sloped down after getting out of work around 11ish last time and the queue was an hour long. I managed to swerve that, but you might want to plan ahead. Quick update on week 27, as week 28 is already up and running, but another high scoring week for some people.
Highest scorer this week was Blackbelt Jones with a cracking 98pts, followed by Kormac with 92pts, and the top three completed by HP, extending his lead at the top of the table with a 75pt week.

Bloody Berbatov. I was about sixty points in the lead, and in one swoop, I’m in second place. Damn you. Seriously though, this week smashed the records point haul with a few teams playing twice and as a result, its all change in the league. All three of our top managers this week broke the 100 point barrier which is pretty impressive.
Top scorer this week with a massive 115pts was Ollie from Bare Noize (Dimitar Berbatov – 29pts).
Second place was tied between two of our regular top scorers. Both Truth and HP from Rarekind clocked up 108pts. (Berbatov 29pts and 58pts* respectively).
So ladies and gentlemen, we have a new leader. HP has held the lead briefly before, so lets see if he can hang on a little longer this time… Bring it on.

And this thing ain’t over yet… This week has left me looking over my shoulder as a storming 80pts from H-Props aka The RareKind Records Head Honcho grabs him the manager of the week award. 32pts* of that come from Robin Van Persie. An Arsenal player grabbing all the points for a Spurs supporter? Ouch. (Had to get a little dig in – sorry). Thats his fourth weekly award of the season, putting him in contention with Truth and me for the Manager of the Season award…
Second place this week goes to the B-town producer Cuth with 64pts, Branislav Ivanovic striking lucky for 17pts of that total.
And completing the trilogy of tally toppers this week is Snuff the Ablist with 62pts – that man Ivanovic popping up again for the London based producer.

Well, what with all the football action over New Year, and me having so little time, I managed to miss out posting summaries of weeks 19 and 20 – sorry about that. Anyway, the results were as follows:
Week 19 Managers of the Week: Koaste/Longusto
Week 20 Manager of the Week: Legs
Anyway, and so on to week 21.
Third place this week went to Mad Hatter with 58pts (Cesc Fabregas 18pts*). In second place this week, was Genius Squad’s Vecks with 59pts (Didier Drogba 18pts*). And smashing everyone else away this week with 77pts was the Rarekind Records head honcho, HP with 77pts (Wayne Rooney 24pts*). That moves him back up to third place, and keeps him in contention for a strong finish.

273 Fantasy Football Week 9: A New Leader

Well, its finally happened. My reign on the top was indeed short like leprechauns, and week nine sees a new face at the top of the league. He’s been pressing all season, but Rarekind Records‘ Ewan scores a slick 64pts (Kevin Nolan 9pts) and takes the Manager of the Week award as well as my place at the top. Ewan is a veteran fantasy football player, and its not gonna be an easy job to take top spot back from him.
Second place this week goes to Cuth with 61pts (Ashley Cole 18pts*), and third this week was me, clinging on to respectability after last week’s awful showing with 54pts (A.Cole/K.Nolan 9pts).
