Oh my days. Seriously?

May 11, 2010

Caught this on some TV clips show the other night, and managed to track down the full video to post up on here. Having spent a year living over in Australia, I’ve been only too aware that SOME people over that side of the world really have a hard time understanding how their actions can be misinterpreted by the majority of us with even a slight amount of common sense, but this takes things to new depths.

Protesting against a day celebrating the hoodie – every head’s favourite item of clothing – a councillor in New Zealand decided to take a stand by turning up to work in, wait for it… a Klu Klux Klan outfit. I can’t even comprehend why someone would decide to do this, and listening to councillor Dale Evans, I’m not even sure he’s completely able to explain why he did it. And if thats not enough, just wait for the jaw dropping plot twist at 3:00 minutes into the video.

“some people will look at you now… they’ll be looking at you on television now, and they’ll be thinking… you’re a nutter.”

Oh, and here’s one of the other clips. This was on Australian TV last year. While I was out there. I mean, how does this shit still get past the censors? Straight ridiculous.
