I’m a sucker for a good posse cut, especially when the emcees involved aren’t necessarily ones that have regularly jumped on a track together. Kid Tsunami has lopped together a cracking combo of golden era heavyweights for his track The Chase, taken from his forthcoming release of the same name. Massive.

Bonkers doesn’t even begin to describe this ridiculous remix that Rizzle Kicks just dropped on Radio 1 a few minutes ago. I’d heard word on the grapevine that this posse cut was gonna happen, but till it got airtime, I was always a little dubious it would ever see the light of day. Boy was I wrong. Surely putting any doubts that these lads are Hip Hop to bed, this remix sees US legends Pharoahe Monch and Chali 2na alongside a couple of close friends. Epic just about sums it up.

Monch teams up with Jean Grey and Royce on this M-Phazes produced track from his soon-to-be-released LP W.A.R. (We are Renegades). Can’t think what my favourite Pharoahe Monch track of all time would be. Hmmm. No Mercy with M.O.P, The Light, Prisoners of War (as part of Organized Konfusion). Its a tough one.
Pharoahe drops the epic 10 minute film to his track Clap, taken from his forthcoming LP W.A.R. (We Are Renegades). This is one slick piece of film making. The track ain’t bad either. And by that, I mean that it’s bloody great. Enjoy.

Pharoahe Monch dropped in on Shortee Blitz and MK’s show on Kiss FM the other day and gave a little impromptu performance of his new track Clap, produced by Aussie beatsmith M-Phazes – who’s making massive moves in regards to working with some heavyweight US artists right now. There aren’t many people out there who can touch Monche for style or flow. Maybe one or two are up there on his level.
His W.A.R. LP (We Are Renegades) is scheduled to come out next year on Duck Down. Its safe to say that I’m quite excited about this album.
