Longusto – Too Big To Play LP [@Longusto]

September 19, 2012

If you live in Brighton and know Longusto, you’re probably aware that he’s been banging on about how his new album is the best work he’s ever released. Having had time to listen to it now, I’d be inclined to agree. If you don’t know the Menagerie emcee, then this is a perfect introduction, and its free for a limited time only. I pop up on track two as well, but don’t let that put you off.

Longusto ft/ Genesis Elijah – Standing Alone [@Longusto @GenesisElijah @TomCaruana]

August 19, 2012

My good friend Longusto, the biggest reprobate in the 273 has got his new album dropping soon, and trying to put all bias aside, what I’ve heard is really good. This latest video sees him teaming up with Genesis Elijah on a Tom Caruana beat. Too Big To Play is out soon. Longusto won’t be playing any shows, but will be getting arrested for indecent exposure in a town near you soon.

May 27, 2012

Since the sun has finally decided to show its face on the South Coast, I thought it was time to release this track into the wild. One to cop heatstroke to. The download link will come soon. I really want to film a video to this one. Any film makers in and around the 273, get in touch!

New Menagerie Video In The Works

May 16, 2012

Well it finally happened. The planets aligned, and we managed to get enough members of The Menagerie together in the same room for long enough to film a video for a track from our forthcoming album Hopeful Monsters. It was a bizarre and emotional experience, one, because I’d never filmed a video for a track before, and two, for the evening we were shooting my part, I was burning up with some hideous fever. Still, its gonna be mad interesting to see what the end result is. Needless to say, as soon as I get anything, it’ll be up on here.

Longusto – Lincoln To Brighton [FREE DL]

January 15, 2012

The homie Longusto has finally got round to releasing his second LP, Lincoln To Brighton, and its a banger. Even the fifteen tracks that DON’T feature me. Seriously though, Gusto is giving this thing away for free, and whether you know it yet, you need this in your life. Boom.

The Menagerie – Keep Your Head Down

January 15, 2012

Apologies for the brief hiatus and lack of new posts – I’ve been recharging the batteries away from civilised society.

The brand new Menagerie LP Hopeful Monsters is almost ready to be released, and what better way to get ready for that release than to enjoy the video for the first release from the project featuring the rhyme skills of Teej and Dizraeli. Keep Your Head Down, like the entire album, is produced by Tom Caruana, whose last couple of mash up LPs, Wu-Tang vs The Beatles, and Wu-Tang vs Jimi Hendrix have been getting some serious critical acclaim.

The Menagerie – Never (Ever) Again

October 7, 2011

The all new Menagerie LP drops very soon, and here’s the first leak from the project. This track features Jon Clark, Dizraeli and Elemental, and is an ode to hallucinogenics. The album will feature the three emcees featured here, along with Longusto, Dr Syntax, Mole, Teej, Vecks, Baba Brinkman and yours truly. I don’t have a definite release date just yet, but I will let you know as soon as I do…
