273 Fantasy Football: Week 22

Well, I hope not too many of you put a load of Liverpool players into your teams due to the fact they were playing twice this week. Doesn’t look like Dalglish has got an instant fix for that lot.

Anyway, it’s been quite an even week for point scoring throughout the league. Tied in third place this week with 50pts were Snuff The Ablist (Nani 24pts*) and myself (Van Der Vaart 14pts*).

Second place was a tie between Ollie from Bare Noize (Nani 12pts) and Longusto (Brede Hangeland 12pts).

But the manager of the week award goes to that man Legs with 58pts (Nani & Hangeland 12pts each), and that makes his second weekly award of the season.

273 Fantasy Football: Weeks 19-21

Well, what with all the football action over New Year, and me having so little time, I managed to miss out posting summaries of weeks 19 and 20 – sorry about that. Anyway, the results were as follows:

Week 19 Managers of the Week: Koaste/Longusto

Week 20 Manager of the Week: Legs

Anyway, and so on to week 21.

Third place this week went to Mad Hatter with 58pts (Cesc Fabregas 18pts*). In second place this week, was Genius Squad’s Vecks with 59pts (Didier Drogba 18pts*). And smashing everyone else away this week with 77pts was the Rarekind Records head honcho, HP with 77pts (Wayne Rooney 24pts*). That moves him back up to third place, and keeps him in contention for a strong finish.

273 Fantasy Football: Week 18

December 22, 2010

Well well well. With the snow hitting England this week causing all but a few games to be called off, it seemed that only people with Everton’s Tim Cahill in their team made any points whatsoever.

Tied in third place for the Manager of the Week title are Kormac and Legs with the grand total of 17pts. Yep, seventeen. Thats how high scoring this week was. Carlos Tevez high scoring with 4pts* for Kormac and Danny Welbeck getting 9pts for Legs.

Second place with 24pts goes to Blackbelt Jonez (Leighton Baines 8pts).

But top this week, and adding to his chances of grabbing the manager of the season award is Truth. 26pts for Tim Cahill means he smashes his way through the field this week. He’s won more weekly awards than anyone else, but he’s still only in eighth place in the table.

273 Fantasy Football: Week 11/12

Got caught out a little bit this week – didn’t notice there was a full Premier League program happening tuesday and wednesday, so not only did I not get the opportunity to tweak my team as I was up in Glasgow for a couple of days, but I didn’t get a chance to plug the weekend’s manager of the week. So lets get that out of the way first. Week eleven’s manager of the week was Legs, so lets handle that first… His scores in week 11/12 have made him the first new entry into the top three in the table since the start of the season at the expense of Rarekind Records‘ HP. Things could get interesting if he keeps this sort of form up…

Manager of the Week (Week 11): Legs

Right, now that we’re more up to date, lets have a look at week twelve, for which you see the league table at the top of this piece. Third highest scorer this week was The 273′s Blackbelt Jones with 57 pts (Marouane Chamakh 13pts). Second place this week went to Arsenal supporting Rizzle, with 58pts (Cesc Fabregas 14pts*), but absolutely smashing it this week, and getting a big jump up the table due to scoring 70 pts was Snuff The Ablist (Cesc Fabregas 14pts*) whose team could be about to do a Liverpool-esque jump up the table if he can keep this form up.
