The Brighton based Rum Committee have just released their new mixtape Committee Is Boss. 32 tracks for the price of three nuggets. You can’t really argue with that sort of value. Gi3mo, Prince Kong, Bukioe, TC Johnston and more bring that trademark grimy sound that they’ve been smashing shows with down here in the South. Part with your quids for this one. • Koaste
Here’s a new free album featuring some of the artists out of the 273. There’s a track featuring Longusto and me. There’s some great tracks featuring guys such as Influx, Dr Syntax, Gi3mo and Tom Caruana. There is also, I’m afraid to say, a good chunk of tracks that I wouldn’t endorse if they paid me, so its a little hit and miss to say the least. Still, the dude who put together the project had good intentions, even if this is the local equivalent of those Classic Hip Hop CD’s that you used to find in petrol stations, where one track would be Walk This Way, another would be some Whodini track you’d never heard of, and the rest would consist of Ini Kamoze and 2 Unlimited.
I recommend however, that you download this, and keep or delete the tracks depending on how much they appeal to you. Kind of like a fat kid digging his sweaty sausage fingers in the Churchill Square pick’n'mix. • Koaste
Here’s dope little bit of Brighton’s Gi3mo landing some blows on some poor microphone somewhere. Turning into a right handful on the mic these days. • Koaste
Some mighty scores in the league this week, in no small part down to the boy Berbatov, who racked up FIVE goals for Man Utd against Blackburn Rovers, joining the elite club whose only members so far are The Thug, The Goalhanger and The Serial Penalty Misser. Lets run down the top three in reverse order this week.
In third place, and up to second in the table, the highest he’s been all season, is Herbie Dragons with 63pts. 24pts of them coming from Nani (double points for being captain).
Second place goes to the man Gi3mo, Boozetown Rovers clocking up 26pts* from Arshavin as well as 25pts from Berbatov. He moves up to tenth in the table.
But clinching the manager of the week prize this time out, and for the first time this season is emcee, producer, and Don’t Flop battler, Scizzahz who smashes 89pts in the the back of the net (Berbatov 25pts). That moves him up to the giddy heights of second place, and only 37pts behind yours truly. I hope I’m right in my prediction that Berbatov will fail to his the net for at least another five games now…
Manager of the Week: Scizzahz
Couldn’t decide what track of Scizzahz to post – just type the name into youtube and you’ll find plenty of goodness, so I thought I’d go for this Genius Squad classic…

Brighton emcee and member of Rum Committee, Gi3mo has dropped this free EP for you. Gruff vocals and dark, trippy beats, this is well worth peeping. • Koaste
