The Beggars look like they’re going in hard on their new album The Uprising. This first release from the project, produced by Knife Party, is a speaker burner. A little Cameo from new addition to the cast of Game of Thrones – Skrein as well. • Koaste
Bonkers doesn’t even begin to describe this ridiculous remix that Rizzle Kicks just dropped on Radio 1 a few minutes ago. I’d heard word on the grapevine that this posse cut was gonna happen, but till it got airtime, I was always a little dubious it would ever see the light of day. Boy was I wrong. Surely putting any doubts that these lads are Hip Hop to bed, this remix sees US legends Pharoahe Monch and Chali 2na alongside a couple of close friends. Epic just about sums it up. • Koaste
Some great music out and about this morning. Never gonna get anything done today unless I stop finding stuff to slam up on here. Next up, a big new track from the Beggar Fam, produced by Kidkanevil. Taken from the forthcoming album The Uprising. Loving the hook on this one. • Koaste
New banger from the homie Dr Syntax alongside the Krate Krusaders. Taking a little stroll around Bristol, Doc Synners tells us whats on his mind… • Koaste
There aren’t many beatboxers out there that can hold my attention for more than five minutes at a time, but Shlomo is definitely one of them. The one time Foreign Beggars collaborator has been making some strong moves for the last couple of years, and this video sees him constructing an ad hoc dubstep banger with the help of a loop kit and a couple of voice thangs. (yep, thats the technical names right there ya heard). • Koaste
Vato Gonzalez brings the Godzilla theme tune sample out of retirement for this club banger featuring the Beggar Fam. Simon says jump. Seriously though, hope the sample clearance is done on this one, as didn’t using that sample illegally on Pharoahe’s smash bankrupt Rawkus Records? That was the story I heard anyways. Great video. • Koaste
Damn this video is nuts. Some serious production has gone into this one from Noisia featuring probably the hardest working crew from these parts. Some mighty meaty basslines as this one takes a drum n bass slant complemented by Metropolis and Vulgatron’s vocals and the slick visuals. Big. • Koaste
Fuck me sideways. Some more insane dubstep from Scrillex and those Bare Noize boys. This time its with the vocal skills of Orifice Vulgatron & Metropolis aka Foreign Beggars. I’m off to find some tissue to wipe the blood away from my ears. • Koaste
