The man, the myth, the head-mental: R-Kelly has just gone and dropped another ten episodes back to back of brand new Trapped in the Closet, his absolutely bonkers musical drama from a little while back. He’s brought back most of the characters from the first stories, and there’s plenty of the insane musical ad-libs that we’ve come to expect from him. This runs about 40 mins in total, so put the kettle on and settle in.

I’m really not too sure what to think about this new track from Slaughterhouse. By rights, I should absolutely HATE it. For a start, it samples early 90′s euro-house chart hit The Rhythm of the Night by Corona. Secondly, the bizarre and frankly pointless intro featuring Eminem and some of the worst CGI I’ve seen since Shark Attack 3: Megalodon. But… for some reason, I don’t hate it. Maybe its the charisma of the emcees, but I can almost look past the fact they’ve sampled what they have. My brain hurts.

Nova Rockafeller turns up the colour levels to max on this new video, which is a marked change from the last couple of tracks she’s released. Its not gonna be for everybody, thats for sure, but for balls out brashness, the girls a leader of the new school. As bubblegum as it is, its still a million miles better than any manufactured-in-a-sterile-environment chart dross. Not entirely my cup of Ceylon, but Nova’s making moves.

I’m not really sure why I like this, but I do. I haven’t heard much from Naughty By Nature’s Treach for a good few years, but this popped up on my radar tonight and I thought it deserved a post. Not his finest moment by any means, but fuck it. Never heard of the other two rappers on this, but if you’re in one of those ig’nant moods tonight, get this bumping.
