Its around about a year to the day that my good homie Iris, one half of rhyming duo Mole & Iris, tragically lost his life in a car accident. Its crazy that its already been that long. There’s no chance that anyone who knew him will ever forget him. The track above is a little something that I wrote a few months after Jake’s passing. I wasn’t entirely sure whether I was gonna play it to anyone, but in these last few days I thought it would be kind of apt. Dedicated to all of Jake’s friends and family.

One of those emcees that can go pattern for pattern with the previously posted artist is one of my favourites to ever rock the mic. Hieroglyphics’ Casual has teamed up for an album with J Rawls, and the title track featuring Del is up on a free download thing. You should probably go get that now from HERE.

Aesop Rock confuses the fuck out of me. On one hand, I fully appreciate his ability to craft incredible patterns out of syllables in a way that few emcees can even aspire to do. On the other hand, I never have a fucking clue what he’s on about. This new track is no different. I appreciate Aesop Rock on a level similar to the way I appreciate a good track in a semi foreign language, where I can pick out familiar words, but can’t comprehend the author’s intended meaning. Still, its an entertaining four minutes.

Six minutes of nuttin’ but the truth from Geordie rhymesmith Stig of the Dump as he goes in over a Pete Cannon instrumental. Thats one hundred and twelve bars. In other words a lot. He’s dropped this as a pre cursor to the Cannon Fodder EP which is due to drop in September. Until it drops though, you can pick up this joint for free by heading HERE.

My good friend Longusto, the biggest reprobate in the 273 has got his new album dropping soon, and trying to put all bias aside, what I’ve heard is really good. This latest video sees him teaming up with Genesis Elijah on a Tom Caruana beat. Too Big To Play is out soon. Longusto won’t be playing any shows, but will be getting arrested for indecent exposure in a town near you soon.
