Very sorry to say that technical difficulties at the radio station meant that we were unable to bring you today’s broadcast of The 273 Show. Not sure what exactly the problem was – something to do with the internet I believe, but we’ll be back and ready for the next one in a fortnight. My apologies to anyone who was looking forward to todays show.

Right, managed to borrow a tent and packed the vital supplies, and this evening I head off for the sunny fields (it is gonna stay sunny, right?) of Glastonbury for this year’s festival. I’m not one of these people for who camping seems to come naturally, so once again, I’m slightly apprehensive of everything, but as long as the weather stays like it is right now, I should be okay.
Looking forward to catching Snoop and Stevie Wonder – and of course my boys Foreign Beggars & Dr Syntax and Rup the Cnut – haven’t got a clue who else is playing, gonna have to do some research when I get there. Sunday afternoon I’ll be found wherever the biggest screen showing the England Germany match is – now that is gonna be MASSIVE.

All this world cup malarkey might be taking its toll on my state of mind, but there’s one thing thats cheering me up, even if England crash out today. In a year’s time, I’ll be getting ready for the mighty Brighton to kick off in our brand new American Express Community Stadium.
For anyone that doesn’t know, Brighton have been playing for the last eight years or so at the shambolic Withdean stadium aka The Theatre of Trees after our last ground was sold out from under us by the bunch of crooks that used to run the club.
For the start of the 2011-12 season, we’ll finally have a new home, and what a home it looks like it’ll be. Amex have paid around £5m for the naming rights – the biggest ever sum outside of the Premier League – and I’ll be able to watch matches without freezing my tits off in the rain.
Here’s a little flythrough I found, fronted by the LEGEND that is Des Lynam. This video is mainly about the 1901 Club aka The seats for those fans with bucketloads of cash. No disrespect to him, I guess at his age, you want something a little more cosy where you can watch the match, but I’ll be behind the goal with the rowdy crowd. One more year.

A big mix here from a good friend I’ve worked with a few times. Snuff The Ablist drops his Camden Crawl 2010 mix in association with Hoochinoo, featuring tracks from Stig of the Dump, Pneumatic & Sloth and Graziella amongst others. Definitely worth downloading.

Nothing more to say. I’m going into this game believing that England are gonna crash out – that way, if we make it through to the next round, I’ll feel pretty good. Rather than than thinking we’ll win and being thoroughly depressed if we don’t. Still, I guess, whatever the outcome, we’re not France…

I’ve read a couple of posts about this artist, but till I saw this video (thanks to Foreign Beggars’ Orifice Vulgatron for the hook up), I have to admit I’ve been sleeping. This is one hell of a video, and one hell of a track, the production reminiscent of Outkast’s B.O.B from the Stankonia LP. Her new LP The Archandroid is out now, and I think I’m gonna have to check for it on the strength of this. Highly recommended.

My homie DJ Ideal has dropped another one of his banging dubstep mixes, so if that floats your boat, then go grap yourself a download quicktime. I’m not normally the biggest fan of dubstep, but I’ve checked a couple of these and they are indeed big and heavy. Get some.
